Not compatible with version 24 of Chrome browser

  • Having successfully used WPMinify for some time now, I recently ran into a problem when Chrome updated to rev 24.x Loading of website/pages slowed noticeably and accessing a Forum page built around SimplePress resulted in a Chrome “script out of memory” error msg and the crashing of Chrome’s javascript engine (100% repeatable).

    The Forum/javascript crash doesn’t occur with either FF or IE but once I deactivated WPMinify I did notice faster performance by all browsers including Chrome – ironically. And the Chrome 24 Forum/SimplePress javascript crash stopped happening.

    Please note that I run my site on the wpengine.com which ONLY hosts WordPress websites and relies heavily on caching/CDN.
