    Hi!

When I run install.php page two, it says “Now we’re going to create the database tables and fill them with some default data.” and nothing happens. It creates the tables in the database but I don’t get any confirmation and I can’t log in. Any idea what’s wrong here?

Are you sure your server setup meets the minimum requirements for running wp?

I have MySQL 4.0.18 and PHP 4. I tried it in Firefox and iexplore.

“…PHP 4.1 or higher”. If yours is 4.0 something that could be part of the problem.

    No, it’s above 4.1…

if you have the same problem take a look at your mySQL database and see, if the tables were created. if they were creted then edit the password value in the wp_users table with the MD5-function and set a new password. after this, you should be able to log in.
