    Hi,

well, other people will see the page in exactly the same way, just without the “Edit” link ??

The easiest solution is to simply open the page in another browser (where you are not logged-in into your WP), or in a “private” or “incognito” window, as Chrome and Firefox offer them.
That will also have the benefit that other elements on the page, that might be different when logged-in, show up correctly.

You can of course also hide the “Edit” link for everybody (including logged-in users), but you rob yourself of the benefit that this links gives you. To do that, just install and activate https://tablepress.org/download/extension/tablepress-remove-edit-link.zip as a regular WordPress plugin.

But my recommendation is to just use an “incognito” window in the browser. That also how I do this.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Tobias, you’re the plugin author so you know but if removing the Edit link doesn’t change spacing I need to know that so I can change it manually.

I’m using TablePress on a site that needs to stay in maintenance mode until it’s launched so I can’t just log out to view it.

Thank you for creating the extension.

    Hi,

oh, the spacing will be changed if the “Edit” link is not visible or removed. So my first sentence above should be “Other people will see the page in exactly the same way, just without the “Edit” link and with correct spacing” ?? Maybe I wasn’t clear there.

And of course, when using maintenance mode, logging-out or viewing the page in a different browser will not work. Good point.

In that case, the Extension is indeed the best way.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
