CurlSSL is required – fix for "The user has canceled the authentication"

    I’ve finally solved the problem that I was having with all providers. When signing in I’d get the message:

    Authentification failed. The user has canceled the authentication or the provider refused the connection.

    What I found is that you need to have Curl SSL installed on your server.

    You can find out if CurlSSL is installed on your server by downloading this file and uploading it to your server, then calling the file from a web browser:

    After installing this I’m able to successfully login to my site with facebook – CarBot

    As a followup – it would be great to have that contents of that requirements.php file built into the plugin requirements test.

    No problem – This plugin really is amazing – thank you for all your hard work.

    I’ve found that on my site CarBot that no one signs up for an account via the traditional wordpress way – all signups are done via providers and this plugin. I owe all my registered users to you!

    The file that I had linked to was only a script that would detect if Curl SSL is installed on your server. This is not needed any more, since Miled added this to the diagnostics.

    Just go (inside of the installed plugin) to components, then diagnostics, and run that. It will tell you if Curl SSL is installed.
