Comments – Email Notifications on Post types

  • I have a website that is running WordPress 3.4.2.

    I’m having a problem with email notifications related to comments on Posts. When a comment is submitted, the comment is saved but no email notification is received to the discussion email address.

    Note: I create a custom post type called “Collections” with a capability_type => ‘page’. I receive email notification on comments related to “Collections” post types but not “Post” post types.

    Suggestions?

    Because I haven’t upgraded yet. Will upgrading fix the situation?

    Once the upgrade is complete, can you test comments to see if you can replicate the problem using the default theme with all plugins deactivated?
