  • I suspect not – here is the information from the StudioPress site:

Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress on your BuddyPress site – In a WordPress network, DO NOT network activate GenesisConnct for BuddyPress.

If you can’t network activate a plugin, I am not sure you can run it in multi-site mode. At least I can’t with mine.

GenesisConnect works fine on a WP network. Only activate GenesisConnect on the site that has your BP social network.

@sue – The reason the instructions say not to network activate is that the BP social network is only running on one site. GenesisConnect is the theme support for the BP social network.

“If you can’t network activate a plugin, I am not sure you can run it in multi-site mode. At least I can’t with mine. “

The plugin does not prevent you from network activation. We are saying that you just activate it on the site where it will be used.

Network activating or not is not an indicator of whether any plugin works in multisite or not. Most plugins actually do.

Install it, do not network activate. Go to the sub site. Activate the plugin there. This applies to pretty much most plugins.
