So I want to work on two websites. While I wait for content for one I can then work on the other but WordPress seems to be stuck with my first site. Do I need to convert to WordPress multisite?

    Thanks Daniel.

  • Do you have separate WP installs (in separate directories) for each site? That (or multisite) are the two ways to have multiple sites.

Oh, I see. SO if I install WP again in a different directory and direct my browser to that I can work on two?

    Cool, cheers Daniel.

Just had a thought about that, do I need to create a new database and if so how so I point this new install of WP to it?

    Cheers Daniel.

I got it, during the WP install, it asked me for a DB name so I created a new DB and pointed it to that. Cool.

    Thanks for the input WPyogi.

If you use a separate directory, it will create new database itself.

EDIT – hah, cross posted by 11 seconds :)!! BTW, this is a better way to go if you are going to move the site(s) later – as multisite is quite complicated to do that.
