• I moved a site from one server to another. I changed the DNS settings so now the domain points to the new server. I need to get to the old server to export the database. I can get to the site via the oldserver/folder but when I enter /wp-admin/ it redirects me to the new server. Is there any way for me to get to the wp-admin on the old server?

  • No, you’ll have to contact your old host about retrieving the database if you don’t have any other kind of access.

Do you have cPanel access for the old site or does your old host offer management tools?

I still have access to the old server with sites running. I just got a new server for this one particular site. I have exported the database PHP MyAdmin from the cpanel. Is that any different from the export function from wp-admin?
