Has anyone noticed any bugginess with Subscribe2 (v. 2.2.1) after upgrading to wp 2.0.1? Here’s what’s happened to me:

Yesterday, the plugin sent out an e mail notice of a new post that omitted the post permalink even though this displays in the plugin’s email template. The plugin also generated a subscriber notification e mail for a post that was in Draft mode and had not been edited for a year.

In WP admin interface, I clicked on ‘Subscriptions’ & saw this error:

“Warning: sg_subscribe_admin(/home/richard2/domains/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/tikun_olam/wp-subscription-manager.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/richard2/domains/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/tikun_olam/wp-content/plugins/subscribe-to-comments.php on line 749

Warning: sg_subscribe_admin(): Failed opening ‘/home/richard2/domains/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/tikun_olam/wp-subscription-manager.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php:.:.:.:.:/home/richard2/domains/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/tikun_olam//wp-content/plugins/codesnippet/lib:/home/richard2/domains/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/tikun_olam//wp-content/plugins/codesnippet/lib/PEAR’) in /home/richard2/domains/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/tikun_olam/wp-content/plugins/subscribe-to-comments.php on line 749″

I’d appreciate hearing any ideas or thoughts you might have about what might be going on.

The error that’s coming up is indicating subscribe-to-comments.php — which is a different plugin than subscribe2, and may not play well with subscribe2. Indeed, in the comments for subscribe2 2.2 someone reported that as an issue. It’s unlikely that there is a fix for it if it wasn’t fixed with subscribe2 2.2.1.

I wrote to Marc, the subscribe to comment plugin author & he pointed out that one of the plugin’s files was missing fr. my server–prob. deleted during my recent WP upgrade. Once restored, everything looks to be working fine.

    Thanks again, Fruitfly.
