Is email sent upon admin record creation?

Hello,

I am absolutely loving your plugin. But I have one very pressing concern:

I am looking to build a database for my clients that is ONLY accessable by me, NOT my clients/participants. I made several participant profiles from the backend (including their emails). After, I noticed the “Send email upon registering” was checked in settings. Did it just send my clients an email? That would be very bad.
