Visual Editor and Featured Images not working

Hello,
My wordpress recently automatic updated to 3.5 and now when I try to edit posts the visual editor tab when clicked will not open. In addition to this in some of my posts the featured images are not appearing and are appearing as blank boxes example . I have deleted the featured image and reloaded another at a smaller size and it still does not work in these certain posts. Please help this is running me in circles and taking up a lot of my time trying to find an answer.
