adding links to posts

    Hi I have recently tried to add a link to a post or page. I click on the chain and nothing happens. I can’t access the html view to add the link manually. Has anyone else come across this problem?

    It could be many things but often it’s a theme or plugin conflict.

    Try giving this a read first to see if your installation has any of these issues:

    And/or you can also do some troubleshooting to see if it is your theme or a plugin.

    Try

    – Switching to the Twenty Eleven theme

    – Deactivating all of your plugins

    – Clearing the cache and cookies on your web browser

    Then log back into your installation and try to use the link icon in the Visual Editor. If that solves it then try reactivating your plugins one at a time, clear your cache, and re-test.

    Switch your theme back last.
