• There should be an extra form for adding feeds only and an option to choose a category while adding. Then I wouldn’t have to save all feeds twice.

Also it sometimes takes about 10-15 seconds to load a page with lists of RSS feeds (I have approximately 50 feeds saved). Isn’t there a way to make the process faster (e.g. not retrieving updates from all feeds at once but only refreshing small groups of feeds before the main cache is deleted)?

    Thanks.

    Hi,
Regarding point 2, what you’re seeing is a check, going on in the background, to see if the RSS feed is valid and working – it’s not pulling any feeds in. In the next version (launching today), I’m taking this check out so the page will load faster for those who have a lot of feeds.

For point 2, yes, this is a problem and something I will try to remedy when I have time.

    Thanks

I don’t know if this helps, but there’s a plugin, Widget Lazy Loading, which allows you to set a throbber while the feeds load. Benefits are: your page continues loading while the widgets load at their own tempo and people are visually warned something is still loading…

I am afraid that it won’t work for me, it works with widgets only. Is there something similar that I can use?
