How do I edit WP so it doesn't ascribe authorship of everything to admin?

I posted this earlier but I want to try again.

Is there a way to edit my WP Theme so it doesn’t assign authorship of everything I the Web Admin post as web admin?
One way, I think will be to create a generate account. ESMI also said to create a Child Theme but that would mean starting from scratch.

How would I edit that portion out if I create the child theme?
