how do I? Locate the file wp-config-sample.php in the base directory of yourWP

    Download a fresh copy of WordPress to your PC

    Open up that zip file and you see directories and files inside of the wordpress directory. In that directory on you PC is the wp-config-sample.php file.

    Your web server will have the same files if you’ve followed the installation steps.

    You’ll just have to navigate your web server’s file system and locate where you put WordPress.

    no for right now that should be good. i past amusement about 4 hours ago when the only “support” response was links to more educational links. some of them are useful some of them are useless, but i could not figure out where this file was. so genuinely “thanks” i’ll see if bluehost can help me locate it since they uploaded wordpress for me
