I’m not sure what you mean. Can you be very specific about your plans? Custom fields can do just about anything depending on what your theme does with them.

Normally shortcodes only execute in the loop as part of the_content. You should be able to do some customization of your template to execute code similar to do_shortcode(get_post_meta($post_id, $custom_field, true)); this is not unique to my plugin so I would recommend looking into executing shortcodes in templates.
