Tough but intriguing problem…

I want to go to Dragon*Con this year with a bunch of my friends. I want to set up a blog for people to be able to say whether or not they’re going (with an option to change it up until a certain date and a place where the going/not going/unsure list is posted, preferably in the sidebar), and a way for me to post updated travel/ticket/hotel room information and run the whole thing from one section for my friends. Also, they’d need to be able to post/edit stuff, too. I’m sure there are ways to do this with WP, but if not, PHP will suffice. If you can think up a way to set it up, that’d be awesome. Otherwise, I’ll use evite.com or set up a message board, but I’d rather not do that.

I’ve only ever set up a personal blog, so some of this is outside of my area of knowledge as far as WP goes, but I’d love to learn.

I intend to add a brand-new WP install into my site and DB, so this blog would be strictly for Dragon*Con. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
