• Very recently I have been having some problems with my WP site (https://www.silverphotography.co.uk) which uses the Photocrati theme and is hosted on a Dataflame server. I get server errors caused by lack of memory.

I’ll say at the outset that my knowledge of this type of this is really very sketchy I’m afraid!

Photocrati say that the problem lies with my hosts, Dataflame. They say that I am using more that my memory allocation and gave some examples here:
[29-Dec-2012 04:45:33] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 21495808) (tried to allocate 17401 bytes) in /home/silvffjw/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php on line 284 [29-Dec-2012 04:45:33] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 2621440) (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /home/silvffjw/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 901 [29-Dec-2012 04:45:33] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 32243712) (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /home/silvffjw/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/themes/photocrati-theme-v4.5/functions/theme-options.php on line 3 [29-Dec-2012 04:45:34] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 24903680) (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/silvffjw/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/quick-pagepost-redirect-plugin/page_post_redirect_plugin.php on line 168 [30-Dec-2012 17:16:54] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 20971520) (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/silvffjw/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/googleanalytics.php on line 1042.

My first question. I don’t really have much traffic to my site, on average 40-50 visits per day. Does this matter to my memory usage?
Dataflame appear to have a limit of memory of 1000mb. Is this normal (or higher/ lower than standard).
Based on the error report above, can anyone tell me if there is something I can fix with my WP to sort this?
Is Photocrati known as a resource-heavy theme?

I’d really appreciate any help with this. I didn’t expect running a WP site to be so fiddly ??

  • I Think Dear This Error Is Due To Installing Too Many Plugins. Try To Make Them Less In Number. And The Problem Will Be Solved.

As a test I disabled all of the plugins but the problem I was having still occurred. Currently, if I try and update a page on my blog I get a 500 connection reset error.

If the problem was the quantity of plugins I have would I still get an error even when they are disabled? Is it necessary to actually delete them completely?
