Hide Backend and static home page

    I have installed this plugin on three WordPress websites and it’s working impressively fine except the “Hide Backend” feature that just seems non operant on one of these installations.

    On this third site, enabling this option doesn’t seem to do anything: /login and /admin return 404 errors and /wp-login and /wp-admin remain available and functional.

    One of the differences between these 3 sites is that on the third one the home page is set to display a static page.

    Can that be the reason for this issue? Has Better WP Security been tested with static home pages or should I look elsewhere?

    Oooops, another difference was that .htacces was not writable by the web server…

    When I make it writable everything is working fine and I can thus confirm that Better WP Security is working fine with static home pages.

    Sorry for the noise (to my defense, a warning could have been displaied to complain that .htaccess was not writable)!
