pages with posts are not paging correctly

I have a number of “Page with Posts” Template. The first page of each of these works just fine, but if I press the “2” to go to the next page of posts, it reverts to the second page of the main blog and the filtering is gone. This was working when I first set up the site in September but I’m afraid I don’t know when it stopped. I have tried turning off all the plug ins but the problem persists so I’m pretty sure it is not a plug in issue.
