Visual editor tab there but not functioning

    I have two WP sites. One was upgraded to version 3.5 and now, the visual editor tab no longer functions. That basically means I can’t post, so this is a big problem. The site is using Theme Twenty Eleven.

    My other site has an older version of WP and works fine.

    I’m not super techie but have tried everything I can find online except trying to edit code, which I don’t know how to do. I’ve deactivated plugins, changed themes, cleared browser caches, reinstalled WP 3.5. Nothing has worked.

    I’m tempted to take the site down and use something other than WP, at this point. Either that, or I’ll try to figure out how to go back to a previous version of WP.

    Can anyone from WP offer a solution? I’d appreciate any help. Thanks.

    As one last try, I deleted all the plugins. Not deactivated, but deleted.

    Now the visual editor is back.
