Beneath the header there is a space in which there is a greyish outline of a camera which on the preview of the site has a picture of a car. How do you either remove the space for the picture or add a picture.

I have tried different parts of the desire appearance options and even managed to upload a logo but cannot remove the camera outline.

There is a post of several months ago on the same issue but no reponse appears to have been given.

    blog site address is https://hr-management-dimensions.com/wphrmd

  • If I look at the code for your site, that camera appears to be a sort of default image for the slideshow. According to the theme’s site, the theme offers a “post slideshow.” Those captions it cycles through are the titles of your posts, so I would look first to see if the theme offers any editable options for the post slideshow that will turn off the default camera image. If not, have you tried adding a featured image to a post to see if it replaces the camera?

It looks like that slideshow div is currently at 845px wide with an auto height, so I would try an image that is 845px by whatever height you like, and keep all the featured images you’re going to put in the post slideshow the same height for consistency.

Thank you linux4me2 for the suuggestions above. I have found out how to disable the slide show which overcomes the greyed out camera appearing but of course does away with the post slide show. So far I have not found anywhere in the desire appearance or other menus to insert a picture that covers the camera – the backgrould inserts simply place images in the screen background not the blog background. I shall experiment with uploading to a post in different ways to see if that works.

Anyway thanks for your prompt reply

Thanks again linux4me, you put me on the right track and by experimenting I have managed to place an image to appear instead of the greyed out camera.

For other Desire theme users, either the same image or different images have to be inserted into your posts as those then appear in sequence with the slide show of your post headings. You will need to experiment with the image size to make it look right.

Thanks and I shall show the query as resolved
