    All the edit buttons are gone in the visual and text editor on all my wordpress sites after 3.5 I deactivate plug ins and that did not work I am unable now to edit or add any pages or post. Tried several browsers as well and checked all the settings, what is my next step?

    Did you switch to the twentyeleven theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Hi,
    I have the same problem that visual editor not working after 3.5on one of my blogs. I have not been able to fix it.

    None of that worked and I went in to one of my newer sites wiped out everything and installed a brand new WP installation. It STILL had the same problem. Please say there is going to be an update to correct all these issues!!!

    @roarsk Please start your own thread.

    @scotzura All the steps? Did you use the browser to check for javascript errors? Also please post a link to the sites in question.

    Try adding this in the wp-config.php (above ‘stop editing here’):

    define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);

    Where would I find that directory(wp-config.php)?

    It’s (usually) in the root of your WordPress installation.

    Before you attempt to edit the wp-config.php file please make sure you have an unedited backup of that file first.

    Found the file, but nothing that said stop editing here in the script.

    It’s usually around the bottom of that file. You want your new line to go above that so it looks like this.

    define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);
    /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    Again, make sure you have an unaltered copy of that file before you edit that file. Safety nets are you friend. ??

    Can I save a version in MS word or do I need to copy it to some special program?

    No no no, anything but that. Use notepad or another plain text editor.

    MS Word will/could do very bad things to that file.

    removing plugins or replacing wp-admin or wp-includes folders didnt work..

    thx a lot again!!

    Inserting the code above is the perfect and easiest solution. It works.No need wasting energy and time contacting hosting company. They will tell you to insert this code as recommended here. Thanks
