Menu usability on iPad

  • One of the reasons to choose for the 2012 3.5 was its capability to cope with mobile device diplays.

    Now I have a usability problem on iPad.
    The submenus cannot be properly selected.
    The site sometimes jumps back to home when selecting a submenu.
    IE, Chrome, Safari on desktop all work well.

    I read about a possible solution here on the forum which involved adding a # to custom links.
    I have no clue where to look in my admin.
    Under what button do I look?

    Can I help copying some code into pastebin?

    I saw the other thread you’re referring to, but not clear whether that’s relevant as it was twentyeleven and might not be the same situation. From the description, the top menu item did not have a URL in the link field — in which case, you can use a # as a placeholder.

    somewhere in the style.css or the one or other .php?

    No, that’s what goes in the menu item link field — so in the HTML it would be something like:

    <li>
<a href="#">Menu Item</a>
</li>

    But if you don’t have any blank URLs in your menu — it’s not relevant :).

    Okay, found the custom links. So easy, just scroll down ;0)

    Unfortunately the custom links always goes back to https://
    there is no way to do it different.

    Strange that not more persons ran into this, the iPad is very popular.
