Because this plugin uses the <a> tag’s title attribute the browser displays it’s normal yellow tooltip over the JavaScript tooltip this plugin generates. This can be troublesome especially if the text you are adding to the </a><a> tag’s title is long, it then gets in the way.

Is there any way around this?

Look in the Tippy settings page in the WordPress dashboard. Toward the bottom you will see an option, “Use title attribute in Tippy links” – uncheck that and it will keep the links from using the title attribute which displays the smaller tooltip.
