Request: When comments are turn off

  • Hi,
    I am using the bleeding edge edition at present dated 28/01/04 and it is good to see that the the comments template has now been cleaned up a little. ie removing ‘comments_popup_link’
    But I wondered if there was a way to go a little further when comments are switched off. At present you still get a lot of information relating to the comments. It would be nice to see this whrn the comments are switched off on an archive page: https://www.stopdesign.com/log/2004/01/29/ripple.html
    Sorry to use stopdesign as an example, it’s just that I read it a lot ??

  • Well the complication comes that comments can be off, but there can already be some comments. Or pings could be on, but comments can be off, and various combinations of those situations.
