Lost password and old email

  • Hi.

    I logged myself out while trying to reset my password and change my email to a new one. Now I cannot log in at all. And the retrieve password is sending passwords to my old email, I guess, since I haven’t gotten it yet and it’s been an hour or so.

  • If you have access to your sql database… for instance phpMyadmin, you can look up and change your email. Go to the wp database, select the users table, and browse. You’ll see your username, and next to it, your email. You can edit the line to whatever email you like.

    I can’t login to WordPress. I am not able to use the Lost Password feature as I cannot get to that page. I am asked for username and password from Windows. Is this a Windows problem? Firewall? I don’t know what to do. I’ve got Kaspersky Internet security software installed. Thanks.
