    Hi All,

So I have credit card payment set up as my default in WooCommerce… works great.

I wanted to add PayPal Standard (the basic choice in WooCommerce) as my secondary payment method. It appears right below the CC option. Everything’s set up correctly in the backend.

On the checkout page, when I select it, all that displays is “Pay via PayPal” and… that’s it.

Checked console log, no errors. Disabled w3 total cache, still doesn’t work.

Anyone ever experience this with their store?

You can try it here: https://bit.ly/SOHMRw (you might have to go back and add a product and then go back to checkout)

  • What else were you expecting to see? that’s pretty much normal. With paypal standard, it redirects you to paypal to actually make a payment

Right, I figured as much. But it doesn’t redirect me at all, it just sits there.

Ah, I see the issue. I was expecting an automatic redirect, but I have to hit the Place Order button to get forwarded. Been dealing with multiple issues that I forgot to test what happens if I just hit the button.

In other carts, I usually get redirected automatically, or the button is designed to change text appropriate to next actions (i.e. “Take me to PayPal”).

    Thanks for that nudge!
