• I am a photographer, not a programmer. I have a Street Photography group in the Stockholm Photo Club. We have the https://www.stockholmsfotoklubb.se -site and on this site we use PhotoAlbums.

However…. I have a configuration issue that I havn’t found any %%wppa%% -solution for. And I can not write scripts or anything else that looks like programming….. I my group we are 13 photograpers. I would like to have a parent level and 13 “kids” – one “kid” gallery for each photograper. This is for admin reasons. We alredy have experienced that one photograper deletes the complete gallery!!! With this solution I would grant edit permissions for each photograper to his/hers gallery and not to anything else. But this has presentation impacts. I would like to do the photo presentation on “parent” level, with all “kids” linked together to one streaming presentation with no stops och shifts for “kid” gallery change. One flow. Can this be done?

    Regards Hans

Login as the admin of the site.

Go to the Photo Albums -> Settings admin page and check at least: Table VII-B 0,1 and 2.

The most important setting is Table VII-B1, this makes sure the 13 people can only destruct(!) their own albums/photos. Check in Table VII-A Album admin and upload photos for the userlevel the 13 are.

Make one parent album, say it is named Hans

Make the 13 sub-albums, set its parent to Hans and their owner to the login ids of the 13 photographers. This can be done easy by selecting it on the Photo Albums -> Album Admin -> Edit Album Information screen.

The 13 users will be able to make their own sub-albums.

Displaying photos in more albums together in one display is not yet possible, but is a future enhancement. This will take some time.
