Media Upload Error

When I use “Add Media – Insert media – Upload Files – Select Files” to upload and insert an image into a post I am writing I receive the following error message:

Error nameoffile.jpg
An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.

The image does not appear, and the “Insert into Post” button remains greyed out, and my only option is to close the insert media screen.

Then, when I click on “Media Library” I do see the image I was trying to upload, so the image has made it into the library and it has been attached to the article I was trying to insert it into.

When I go back to the post I was working on and click “Add Media” the media library loads and the image I received the error on now appears as part of the library. From here I can click on the image and successfully insert it into the post.

So the problem seems to be with the “Upload Files” screen that generates an error and does not allow me to add the image directly from that screen.
