How do I know installation was successful?

  • I’ve just installed 3.5 but while I updated all I saw was “downloading update” for around 1-2 minute, then I just redirected to the 3.5 welcome page.

    How can I be 100% sure that the update was successful?

  • Um.. Does the site work? Do you have any problems with it when you look through the admin area or the front public site? Under most circumstances when you see the welcome page it means that it’s all done and finished. Is there anything in particular that you’re worreid about or did you just expect to see more in the upgrade process?

    Not really I don’t have problems yet. But I used to see what wordpress is doing for example when I install a mod.

    Now I just saw that WP downloading update then ta-da welcome to 3.5. But no any problem at all, just odd. Wanted to confirm.

    If everything is working fine & you saw the welcome page, then the update was successful.
