    This is already planned. ??

    In fact after few months BuddyPress-Media can be extended for any type of “files” and “collections” (now “albums”).

    Once we get done with basics functionality, we will create (most likely premium) addons for niche communities (e.g. slideshare)

    @steve

    We are working on improving photos, videos and audio first.

    Hopefully we will be able to do something about other content by the end of this month. I cannot be sure because no work on this line is started yet. I am also not sure if this will end up free or paid plugin.

    Hi @rahul286,

    Just wondering if there’s going to be any of the following features added before the end of March as I’m considering swapping to buddypress media but am launching my site at the end of March.

    1. Some sort of lightbox for images like fancybox
    2. A way to limit how many images/video’s a user can upload.
    3. A way to restrict users so that they can only upload to the wall posts album and can’t create any other albums

    Many thanks

    Some of the features will be premium e.g. limits on users.

    As March is just begun, you can expect a lot. This months goal are to add some importers and plenty of admin-settings.

    We plan to start work for membership premium addon but exact features are yet to be finalised.
