Authorship Info on G profile

Does google authorship markup thing actually work with this plugin? You had mentioned it ealrier that the plugin picks up the G+ link directly from the author profile. I don’t see it working for any of the authors on our site inspite of them adding themselves as contributors on their G+ profile?
Anyone else ?
