replacing comment text into image

On the frontpage I am now seeing ‘Leave comment’ or ‘1 comment’ etc. underneath a post, next to the tags.
I am wondering how I can remove the comment text into a comment image, like the image that is shown underneath the post after clicking on read more, so on the post page itself.
