how to override featured image crop?

All of the photos I have uploaded for my ‘featured images’ for my products are being cropped automatically! They don’t seem to respond to changes I make under settings—>media. I tried using the regen. thumbnails plugin, but it doesn’t work, probably because these are featured images, not thumbnails.
It looks absolutely horrible, the height is the same, but it cuts off half of my images horizontally (https://www.fleurdelune.it/shop/burro-corpo-alla-lavanda/). How do I get it to display exactly the same proportions as I upload? Obviously I’ve edited the photos before I uploaded them to be as I want them displayed on the screen.
