Plugin for Facebook comments without app

    Hi.

    I am looking for a plugin that makes it possible to leave a comment at my homepage with your Facebook account. If possible also with other social networks such as Twitter, G+, Linkedin etc, but Facebook is the most important. The plugin should also leave the possibility to add a comment as a guest by adding a name and an e-mail, just like the standard commenting in wordpress. This option is for people that don’t have, or don’t want to use, a facebook account.

    Now, I know there are many plugins for this, and I have tried more than one, but here is my problem: When I press the “leave a comment with your facebook account”-button, It opens a new window and asks me to install (or accept or add or what you call it) an app in Facebook. I don’t want that. I know I will loose a lot of comments if people have to install an app just to write on my homepage.

    Is this possible, does this plugin exist?

    No luck yet! At this point I stand with these two choices:

    Option 1
    Use the standard facebook comments (from facebook developers). This way you don’t need to install an app to leave a comment with your facebook profile. The problem with this is that people without a facebook account don’t have the possibility to write. Another problem is that it don’t support twitter, G+ etc, which would be a plus.     Option 2
    Use something like Livefyre. This seem very solid. Anyone have any experience with this? With this option you can leave a comment using a lot of social networks, including Facbook and Twitter, and you can also comment as a guest. The problem with this is the app. If you want to leave a comment with facebook, you have to install their Livefyre-facebook-app, and that gives Livefyre your basic information and your e-mail adress. This will scare off a lot of facebook comments (me, for one). With this option I believe people with facebook will tend to write as guests, which is bad because their friends wont know.     Which option is better? Do anyone have any better options? I would really appreciate a helping hand with this.

    I ende up whit Cackle comments instead. It works, it’s free (there is also a paid version with more stuff), and you can login with Facebook, twitter, Google etc. or as a guest. It does have an app, but I’ll just have to live with that ??
