Image Size on Event Page

    Hi there,

    after uploading an image via submission form how can I fix the width on the normal event page (not the event list!!) to a certain number, let’s say 300px? I can’t do that in wp admin. It works with normal posts but not with your custom event posts. It would crash the page if someone uploads an image with the width of 1000px. I would like to fix it to a certain width to have consistency.

    I don’t want to restict the user to upload max 300px images because that would cause too much trouble for them. They need to crop the pic. People are lazy …

  • you can used placeholders like #_EVENTIMAGE{x,y} x and y are width and height or set a max width and height at Settings > General > Image Sizes

    Can I use a placeholder on the actual events page as well? I know I can in the events list.

    I wouldn’t have two images on my page then?

    I tried your solution but that way I get two images on my events page. One from your placeholder and one from wp featured image.

    could it be that your theme also uses featured image (e.g. in your header)? if yes, try to disable this or try settings > pages > event pages > Display events as (Page)

    also, try live preview using default wp theme.
