Plugin page redirected to 404 / Not Foun

Hello,
The plugin used to work fine but now I get redirected to 404 instead of
eg custom link https://www.goldfries.com/download/allit.pdf
it will lead to https://www.goldfries.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=allit.pdf
with a 404. Meaning, file within the directory not accessible.
How do I fix this?
