blog reader and email not showing complete post

I’ve read a number of the topics in the forum, but I haven’t been able to figure out what’s causing my problem or how to solve it.

I use Bloglines, and most of the blogs I read show the full posting (with images and links) in the blog reader. However, for my posts it only shows the first few lines (and I’ve noticed this with the other WordPress blogs I read, too). I don’t want to force readers to visit my blog to read the full post and view images and click links. What can I do to remedy this problem?

I also registered for FeedBlitz so that my non-RSS readers could read my blog daily without having to visit my blog daily. However, I have the same problem with this as with Bloglines. It simply doesn’t show the full post.

In both Bloglines and FeedBlitz, I have adjusted the settings to show full posts. I have also changed all the instances of the_excerpt to the_content, but that didn’t change anything. I have not yet upgraded to 2.0.
