When I try to re install if get the following message “Destination folder already exists. /home/content/c/g/a/cgaryburke/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/” However, when I look to the administrator page for the plugin it does not appear in the inventory. I am not a developer and would appreciate some assistance on how to resolve this issue

    First try this:

    Go to plugin page.

    At the top, click inactive.

    Do you see it now?

    If that doesn’t work, try:

See if you can get FTP access to your account. You would need to talk to your host about that. A great free program for FTP access is FileZilla.

** This can be tricky if you’ve never done it before. When you contact the host, ask them for help if you want. If their nice, they just might lend you a hand **

    Navigate to this folder:

    /home/content/c/g/a/cgaryburke/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins

Do you see a nextgen-gallery folder? Is it empty?

If its empty, delete it. Then try re-installing.

If it’s not empty, something might be up. Let me know what you find.

Many thanks for your response. I am not sure how to include a screenshot here but here is what the FTP view looks like now. It appears that the files and folders are there as I thought they would be. What if I just delete the files and all the folders in the Nextgen directory and the primary folder and then try to reinstall. Think that would work?
