Getting 302 Redirects instead of 301 redirects

    I am using the WordPress Redirection Plugin by John Godley (Urban Giraffe) and when I check my redirects with URL Redirect checkers (e.g., Nijas and SEO Loigc) they are showing that I have 302 redirects.
    The plugin is showing that I am using 301 redirects but apparently this is not the case.

    This is critical because I am losing SEO performance.

    Any help would be appreciated.
