Hi rvena. Sounds like something a bit weird is happening on your site. The drag n drop shouldn’t require save (it should automatically save the order). And updating a track shouldn’t clear the Playlist drop down field.

I’ve not encountered either of these two issues previously so I think we can assume this is isolated to your site. In which case you should take the normal steps to try to isolate the error.
    – Disable all other plugins to see if its a plugin conflict
    – Try it using the default twentyeleven theme to rule out theme conflicts
    – Try it in another browser to rule out browser issues
    – Check it with a debugger enabled to see if any errors are popping up giving some indication of what the problem might be.

Report findings back here if you’d like further help, and also a link to the page where you have the player installed so I can check it.

    Thanks.

@rvena: Got the same bug in my multisite-installation with the jquery audio plugin (pro-edition). After editing a song it goes to “undefined”. Have you found a solution?

There is no other plugin activated in this instance of my multisite-wordpress-installation.
    > Try it using the default twentyeleven theme to rule out theme conflicts
    I tried, I didn’t helped
    > Try it in another browser to rule out browser issues
Its the same thing in FF and Chromium
    > Check it with a debugger enabled to see if any errors are popping up giving some indication of what the problem might be.
Don’t know how to do this, but I’ve checked the field via firebug: https://postimage.org/image/3qeh5tp1b
    Maybe this helps?

@schanzentroll – No solution. Was advised to try deactivating all plugins but I can’t really do that as it will disrupt the site. Tried on various browsers too. Are you on a mac as well?

No, I’m on Linux Mint. But that should not be important for the use of the plugin. I would like to use this player (I like it & I paid for it), but with this bug… I don’t know. I mean… updating information is a basic thing and I don’t want to delete the song every time I have to update a song… but that actual the procedure here.

I agree. I paid for it too and I like it, but it has to work.

Hi Guys, So just reading these posts am I right in thinking both you guys having the problem is on Multisite install? Not a standard WP site?

The plugin hasn’t had anywhere near the same amount of testing on MS so if you’ve ruled out any other standard problems then I’d say this is almost certainly a Multisite problem.

Please confirm so I can see what can be done about this. Thanks

Oh PS… 1 other user fixed a slightly different (but possibly related) issue be enabling the plugin on all the sites in on his MS network… not suggesting this is a good long term solution but depending on your setup might be a temporary fix while I check this issue properly?

    Hello Enigmaweb,
that’s correct for my installation. I’ve got three sites in a wordpress multiside installation. But that’s the first plugin that doesn’t work and I’ve got not much of them installed.
    What about you, rvena? Multisite?

I’ve just tried the plugin on another side I’ve got with a single (not multiside) wordpress and it’s true: the song-update is working. So the plugin is not multisite-ready right now.
@enigmaweb: Do you want to fix it or should we roll back the deal?

I’m not on multisite installation. Mine is a single site, but still has the same issues.

    Hello EnigmaWeb,
I still can’t update songs without erasing the playlist entry. Rvena and I don’t know what the error is or how to fix it. So what to do now? Please make a suggestion.
    Greetings
    Jens

Hello I am also having this issue. I am using a single site. I’m currently running https://www.thinkwithsound.com and there is no way I can deactivate every plugin but please let me know of any possible solutions! I bought this plugin to be the standard use of streaming music uploaded by users so hopefully this can be resolved soon!

I can’t replicate this error on multisite or on single site in a test environment. And there are many thousands of users using this plugin successfully on both without this problem. I’m afraid with only 3 users reporting this and no obvious correlation, and without being able to replicate, I have to assume this is something specific to your site or environment. Sorry – not really much more help I can give on this.

I am having the same issue. Single site install of 3.5, no plug-in conflicts, no console errors. Behaving identically across a variety of themes and browsers. Definitely not an isolated issue.

Also, when saving a track with an apostrophe in the title, the plug-in adds a forward slash before it (i.e. “Devil’s” becomes “Devil\’s”). Please resolve asap.
