Installation error | Unable to upload the theme

    Each time, I tried uploading the theme, I get this error message “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet” What should I do ?

  • Did you upload it at the correct destination. What theme is that?

    The theme is magazine basic. It downloaded as wordpress-3.4.2.zip. I tried uploading it through the upload theme option in wordpress admin area

    That’s not a theme – that’s WordPress core! Where did you download it from?

    Didnt Know it was not the theme. Was redirected to the page where I downloaded it from. Anyway, I have been able to download and upload it. Thanks a bunch.
