Getting error establish a database connection.

– First, try contacting the hosting provider if the database server is online / if they have any other problem at their end, or they made any changes to your account, or if there are any limitations/restrictions, if the hosting package is set to Windows and not Linux, etc .

– double check your wp-config.php file settings for the database name, database username and database password. This is where most errors occur.

-Then check that you don’t need to change the database host from “localhost” to something else. You can get that info from your hosting provider.

-Check you have actually created a database with the same database name as is in your wp-config.php file.
-Last, but not least, if all that information is correct your database probably has a problem with it, and you may need to contact your hosting provider.

Properly edit your wp-config.php file again…

No. actually partially you can change it but in wp-config-sample.php file u can’t fill the

tell me one thing is there u have edited your wordpress site locally.. i mean on any local computer host software..

No i didnt edited any host.

Everything is correct but again error establish a database connection.

I have wordpress site, from last few days, i am getting an error ” Error establishing a Database connection “. i thought is is my host provider problem, and i contacted them, they said, from their end it is all good. below he send the error which occuring in php, as i dont know much, please somebody can help me in resolving that issue.

how to go to the wp-config file?

go to filezilla, login with username and password, and there go to your directory ( remote site-www), in there you will find wp-config.php
