[Plugin: HTML Import 2] media files not importing completely

  • Using HTML Import 2, html pages imported just fine, but images import imcompletely, file type doesn’t seem to stick. Image pointers do appear in the Media Library, but they lack thumbnails, and can’t actually be inserted into posts/pages.

    jpg,bmp,png aren’t in the list of media types, so maybe I shouldn’t use HTML Import 2 for images? Or is there a pre-processing step I’ve missed?

    Using WordPress 3.4.2, so don’t know if I should step back to 3.4.1.

    An image I add manually spins off thumbnails, shows filetype and has the edit button. Just images grabbed by the importer do not.

    I’ve played with chmoding the uploads directory, but to no avail.
