Pagination/child pages 404

    Hello,

    This is the second WordPress site I’ve built. I’m having an odd error where all of my child pages 404. If I make a new child page and publish, it immediately 404s. This also happens for paged navigation.

    I know it has something to do with permalinks, but I can’t figure out what. Right now I have Custom Structure selected and /%category%/%postname%/ in the field. I’ve tried clearing the .htaccess file and remaking it, but that won’t work. I have custom post type UI plugin installed. I have this theme installed.

    Well wouldn’t you know it, 30 min after resorting to asking this question I figured it out. I had my main pages (like /recipes/) with the same name as custom post types. I changed them to /name-main/ and that fixed the glitch.
