How Much Time Before Theme is Accepted into WordPress Directory ?

  • How much time would it take for a theme to be accepted into wordpress directory. I have been working on a couple of themes and submitted them to wordpress yesterday.

    I tested them with theme_test_unit_data, and the results were fine. I am just wondering when will my theme be accepted, How long does it take ?

  • It can take weeks,. It really depends upon the site of the current review queues and how much free time the theme review team has. You will be notified as soon as your theme has been assigned to a specific reviewer.

    Well, I uploaded 2 themes… The 2nd Theme was a newer version of the first one with many bug fixes.

    The First Ticket was assigned an owner was closed, but no-one was assigned the second one. Both themes are one after the other in queue.

    It may take a while for someone to have the time to pick up the ticket for the second upload. The first will have been closed as soon as you uploaded the second simply to stop anyone starting a review on it when you had already updated the theme.

    I haven’t provided a Demo Blog. I hope that’s not any reason to not review a theme.

    Is A Demo Blog Necessary ?

    Nope. The theme reviewers test the theme on their own (usually local) sites using the theme review unit data.
