  • Hello, I am a WordPress enthusiast and heavy user. I weighed these same points and then went to Tri.Be’s solution. First tried their free Events Calendar, liked it, so bought the premium one. Also bought Facebook Events Importer and Community Events to let my users submit their own events.

The reason I am now about to purchase WooTickets is, with EventBrite, you are dependent upon them for the actual purchase and transaction. But with WooTickets from these guys, you can run your VERY OWN EventBrite clone in no time.

My action points for my website called EduFester.com are these:
    1. Purchase WooTickets.
    2. Set it up using their user video tutorials.
    3. Probably talk to Rob, their friendly QA & Support person to find out any nice features that I should pay attention to.
    4. Setup my Payment Gateway
    5. Start selling tickets for educational events in India.

I have bought stuff off CodeCanyon and other indie developers for events before after thorough review. I have to say, tri.be guys are awesome.

Thanks for the words of praise here, arjunsubburaj! We really appreciate the support and your testimonial. (If you ever would be willing to write something similar on the Reviews page here at dot-org, that’d be huge as well). We’re stoked to hear you’ve put these plugins to good use.

LGRstaff: Arjun pretty much summed up the Woo experience. So long as you’re comfortable using WooCommerce, WooTickets includes pretty much all of the same functionality as Eventbrite (plus a couple extra features specific to WooCommerce that Eventbrite doesn’t include). The biggest difference is that WooTickets allows you to keep everything in-site and fee-free if you see fit.

Hope that helps. If you have other questions, let me know.

Thanks arjunsubburaj & roblagatta for the info.

I use Event Calendar Pro and find it a joy to use and customise.

I’m a big fan of WooCommerce too, for the same reasons …. a match made in heaven I’m thinking …. A client just enquired about selling tickets online …. I think I’ve found my solution ??

This is awesome to hear! Thanks for the feedback, hilmon – glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the PRO release. Stoked to see you’re interested in WooTickets, too.

If you have a moment and find yourself with some free time, we’d really appreciate a positive review and/or a “Works” rating here on the dot-org forum. Helps us build out our user base and all that jazz ?? Cheers.
