Post EXCERPT publishing while post is in DRAFT state

  • we are using Akamai cloud net storage servers.

    somehow, it is publishing the post excerpt while the post is in DRAFT state.

    When the user clicks the post link, they are taken to a “page not found” 404 page.

    is there a setting that can prevent this?
