White space above content and content outside of area. Need help ASAP!

  • Hello all.

    I was having problems with my theme’s functions.php file so I took the advice of almost everyone around the internet and just reuploaded my theme. Now everything looks like it’s back to normal, except for two things.

    First, every one of my pages has some sort of empty white space above the content area:

    Second, I’m using the Ajax Event Calendar plugin and the entries from that are spilling outside the content area. It’s the only thing doing that throughout the site:

    I cannot post the site link because it’s not live yet but we really need to fix these issues! Can anyone help?! ??

  • Make sure your pages validate and if so, try using Firebug to look at what’s going on with the CSS code in the areas you are trying to change.

    I fixed the empty white space. Believe it or not, it was a blank text widget that, for some reason, was inserted when I re-ULed my theme. But the second issue remains. Any ideas?

    Did you try what I suggested? What does Firebug show for the elements that are sticking out? May be margin or padding? Pretty hard to even guess without seeing the site live.
